Met with a client a couple of days ago who was in town and chomping at the bit for us to release our Infusionsoft plug-in “Maven Split-Tester.” Status: there are still a couple of features to finish up before it’s accessible to the public. In the mean-time, I wanted to give her and anyone else in need of split-testing a free video on how the process can be accomplished manually, right with-in Infusionsoft (and excel of course).

Watch, enjoy and leave a comment!
(You’ll want to watch it fullscreen on 720p HD!)

Happy Split-testing!

Did you miss InfusionCon? Check out this sweet video Dallin made for you…

(You’ll want to watch it fullscreen on 720p HD!)

Like many of the InfusionCon attendees who traveled from countries across the world, I’m suffering from a serious case of jet lag. Sure, I only traveled 33 miles and didn’t cross any time zones, but the last 2 months have been super long days launching our new site, new products and prepping for the event. All to be followed by 3 days of 6AM to midnight shifts. Whewwwww!

But let’s talk about the event. This was the first year Infusionsoft actually charged attendees for admission. The result: the highest attendance of all time – just over 1500 attendees. So big that InfusionSoft had to book a larger venue for InfusionCon 2013. And we can hardly wait.

I was manning our booth with Dustin, Dallin and Sterling, which was bumping non-stop with attendees. So I didn’t get a chance to attend many sessions, but I did make sure I was present at Gary Vaynerchuk’s keynote address. Despite the fact that he was asked by Infusionsoft to not drop the F-Bomb (sharing this request with the crowd) and still did so 20 times or so, his overall message was pretty insightful.

He talked about the importance of using social media as a listening device, retention strategies and actually caring about your customers. How do you scale customer service? Gary’s answer: with people! Anyway, there were many other great speakers and as attendees came out of the sessions and flocked to our booth, they were going on and on about the presentation they just attended.

Can’t wait to get my digital copy of the event so I can go back and watch the sessions I wanted to attend. If you didn’t make it to the event, you should definitely buy this. Even if you did attend the InfusionCon, chances are you probably wanted to attend more than one of the concurrent sessions available in the various tracks.

For our company, being a sponsor, purchasing a booth and investing in speaking in 2 different sessions was one of the best decisions we’ve made in 2012. We built new friendships, partnerships and strategic alliances. And it’s always a pleasure to rub shoulders with our beloved co-workers from the past

It’s Wednesday and there’s just a few more days until InfusionCon 2012 arrives. We’ve picked up our booth display, flashy rug, stress balls and are just waiting for our business cards and a few other surprise items to arrive. We’ve got some exciting stuff going on and we want you to join us.

Maven Tool Box: FREE PLUG-INS

T-Shirts = Maven Analytics

We’ve been developing an Infusionsoft Reporting Tool for over a year now called, Maven Analytics. Over 300 hours of development have gone into this puppy, and we will be unveiling it at InfusionCon. While attendees are going to get a 33% discount on the plug-in, we will be selecting 10 individuals who will receive Maven Analytics for free.

We’re Speaking in 2 Sessions at InfusionCon

As you probably already know, there will be concurrent sessions at InfusionCon on varying topics. Like a college class schedule, you get to choose which presentations you attend. We will be speaking in 2 different sessions and we hope you’ll join us:

Learn how to better collect, analyze and organize data in Infusionsoft to make important business decisions and learn how to use Microsoft Excel to take data analysis to a new level. Also discover automatic dashboard tools and that will allow you to constantly see your day to day progress toward your goals.

To learn more about what to expect at InfusionCon, check out Infusionsoft’s recent blog post about the event: http://www.infusionblog.com/live-events/what-to-expect-from-infusioncon-2012/

As an Infusionsoft Partner, Certified Consultant and previous employees, we’ve seen the inner-workings of Infusionsoft…the company, the software and its user base morph and change over the years. In addition to the vast product enhancements, we’ve noticed a growing commitment to Infusionsoft Partners.

Infusionsoft is hiring more and more individuals to help support and grow their partner channel. One of the most exciting, new developments is the launch of the official “Marketplace.” The Infusionsoft Marketplace is a a great resource for Infusionsoft users looking to connect with Certified Consultants, Certified Developers and purchase already built Infusionsoft plug-ins and integrations.

You can see our Certified Consultant Listing here: http://marketplace.infusionsoft.com/consultant/marketing-mavens

You can see our “Maven RSS to Email” Plug-in Listing here: http://marketplace.infusionsoft.com/app/maven-rss-email-bloggers-delight

…And many more to come!

The antiquated Resource Directory had produced a steady stream of referrals for us. And as Infusionsoft will admit, it was a bit clunky and tough for them to manage. Based on the positive results we experienced from the Resource Directory, despite its challenges, I can’t wait to see what the new Infusionsoft Marketplace will do for our business, and the entire Infusionsoft ecosystem as a whole.

Thank you Infusionsoft for all you do to support us!

Jarrod Morris

Yawning while simultaneously rubbing my eyes as I write this post. Why you might ask? Because a little after midnight Dustin and I discovered our Infusionsoft sandbox application had been updated with the Alpha version of the new spring release, “R25.” We couldn’t help but stay up until the wee hours of the morning, playing with the new software. And let me just say, it is NEW software!

While I’d like to get into the nitty gritty in this post, my lips are sealed as to the new features, functionality and the methodology behind all of the updates and enhancements. What I can confidently disclose though, is that Infusionsoft is going to leave their competition in the dust with the changes they’ve made here.

Enough can’t be said about being the “first to market” when it comes to software and technology. Well, Infusionsoft just sling-shotted their way to the top of all other Sales and Marketing Automation platforms out there. Seriously, the major players in the market are going to be in for a rude awakening when they see this new technology, and they’ll all be playing catch up.

It’s killing me to not be able to share more details, but mum’s the word. I can hardly wait for InfusionCon where Infusionsoft will unveil their spring release to nearly a sixth of it’s customers. By the way, what other software company do you know of, that has a sixth of it’s customer base attend an annual user conference? If that isn’t social proof, I don’t know what is.

Are you on the Alpha list? Have you seen R25? If so, please feel free to comment below. I would love to hear (in general terms) your feelings on the new release – what it will do for Infusionsoft, their customers, their partners, etc.

Reporting live from my new app,

Jarrod Morris

It’s Live! CLICK HERE TO WATCH A QUICK DEMO

In addition to a handful of comments on the Part 1 post, I’ve received numerous emails and a couple of calls, asking similar questions…

So let me share a few brief details:

This plug-in links an unlimited number of ClickBank Accounts and Products with a single Infusionsoft application.

Customer and Order Information is added to Infusionsoft for the initial purchase and all upsells

Run Any Action Set Your Heart Desires (for 5 unique scenarios per product)

The Price
As I said before, against valued recommendations, we’re not going to charge $97/mo or $67/mo for this integration. Heck, we’re not even going to charge $47/mo. During our launch phase of this plug-in, the cost is only $37/mo. And regardless of price hikes in the future, existing members will be locked in for life at just $37/mo.

The Option
We know people like options, and while $37/mo is palatable for anyone actually selling products, we know certain business owners prefer total cost savings over monthly cashflow. For that audience, we’re offering an annual subscription of $347, which saves you $97 each and ever year.

The Guarantee
We’re confident you’ll love this plug-in and the results you’ll get combining the best affiliate network with the best marketing automation software (ClickBank & Infusionsoft). Use this plug-in like crazy for 30 days, and if you’re not ecstatic about the quality of the integration, contact us before day 31 and let us know. We will happily give you a full refund.

Sign Up Now!
The choice is up to you…

I Want Maven CB Monthly

My, my. Yesterday’s post really struck a chord with some and left others scratching their heads, “ClickBank whaty?” This post is aimed at the “ClickBank Whaty’s” who may have been hesitant to comment and disclose how unfamiliar ClickBank is to them. I know you’re out there, and it’s okay.

In a nutshell, ClickBank brings Vendors (digital product owners) together with Affiliates (marketers looking to promote digital products in exchange for a commission). By digital products, I mean ebooks, audio (mp3), video, downloadable or web-based software or some other form of informational content.

The primary incentive for selling products via ClickBank instead of Infusionsoft is that ClickBank literally has a network of over 100,000 ACTIVE affiliates. Forget taking weeks, months or even years trying to track down and recruit affiliates. Simply go to where the affiliates already are.

The secondary incentive for selling products via ClickBank is that their staff manages refund requests and runs affiliate ledgers and cuts affiliate checks for you. If you’ve ever tried managing an affiliate program, you know how time intensive the entire process can be. Infusionsoft alone has 2 dedicated staff members to track, manage and pay out commissions to affiliates. If you’re a small business owner already wearing numerous hats, it’s incredibly unrealistic for you to add another full-time gigg to your already full plate.

And last but not least, some businesses don’t qualify for a merchant account or have had issues with accounts in the past. ClickBank has a very quick approval process. They not only handle your eCommerce transactions, they essentially replace the need for a merchant account.

Those are just a few reasons why Vendors love ClickBank.

CLICK HERE to open up an account today. Then you’ll be ready for our soft launch of “Maven CB” this coming monday, which is our Infusionsoft-ClickBank integration.

ClickBank has been in business for over 14 years. They pay their affiliates on time, every time. They’ve processed over 2 Billion dollars and run 30,000 transactions per day. Affiliates love them and you will to!

Here’s how it all started…
While attending InfusionCon 2011, we had numerous clients (Infusionsoft users) approach us, asking for an integration with ClickBank. We connected with the rep manning the ClickBank booth to get his thoughts and impressions on the customer overlap, meaning business owners who used both Infusionsoft and ClickBank. He thought the audience was significant, hence their presence at InfusionCon.

We returned to our office after the event and started our research. We spec’d out what we thought would be a great integration for a client who was willing to pay for the development. That client ended up going with a traditional merchant account instead of using ClickBank and we ended up post-poning the project.

But clients kept asking for an integration…
Months later, we had a booth at the Continuity Summit, an event hosted by our client Ryan Lee who helps entrepreneurs build businesses around recurring revenue. ClickBank had a booth right next to us. So again, we circled the idea of creating a bridge between Infusionsoft and ClickBank. Long story short, we got busy on other initiatives and didn’t start the programming.

More time passed and another client asked us to help him integrate ClickBank with Infusionsoft. This time around we decided to make the integration a top priority. The end result has been nothing short of amazing. Upon completion, we had the client configure the plug-in with out giving him any instructions. We watched his screen anxiously. With in minutes he had it all figured out, even though our members area was still missing the “how to set up” videos. He couldn’t believe how intuitive it was to sync the two systems.

So what does “Maven CB” do exactly?
Here’s how the first ever Maven CB user utilizes it. He sells products via ClickBank. On each transaction, customer contact data is sent to his Infusionsoft application. If a person record with that email address exists, the record is updated. If there is no person record with that email address, a new one is created. In addition to standard contact information, order information including product details are passed into his Infusionsoft account, tied to the person record. For each ClickBank product, he has specified a unique action set to run for the following circumstances: Successful Purchase (one-time or first subscription charge), Rebill (subscription), Canceled or Failed Rebill, Refund, Charge back.

So what is the cost?
We told the client that we completely productized the integration instead of just providing him a hacked up script he needed to upload to his server and reprogram every time he creates a new product. First he thanked us for the intuitive GUI, then his immediate question was, “can I be an affiliate? I know a handful of Infusionsoft users who need this right now.” Of course we said yes, and our next question to him was, “how much do you think we should charge for this?” His response, “definitely $97/mo, maybe $67/mo if you guys wanted to be really nice.” Well, we’re feeling extremely nice because we’re not even going to charge that, even though previous ClickBank/Infusionsoft inquirers have offered to pay that amount in the past.

How do I get my hands on this plugin?
Well, we were going to wait until InfusionCon to release this plug-in since that’s where it all started, but instead, we’re doing a soft launch this coming Monday. Tomorrow I’ll be writing about the benefits of selling products via ClickBank and the best way to get started.

Keep your eyes peeled.

Many of you may be familiar with the somewhat new Facebook feature, “Timeline.” It completely restructured the way person profiles were laid out. Honestly, I liked the new look and upgraded my PERSONAL profile to it almost immediately.

Well, back on the 10th of February, Facebook started offering the new timeline design for fan pages. Many businesses aren’t aware that the new design will actually be made mandatory some time in march.

Here are a few pros and cons I’ve been kicking around in my mind, assessing how we’ll position the different companies we own and the best way to portray our brand.

Pros

Opportunity to increase branding with rich graphics

Fan Pages can now like other Fan Pages

Timeline adds credibility for pages that have been around for a while

EdgeRank will be rewarding higher scores to high-content feeds

Cons

No more setting welcome pages (custom tabs)

No more custom landing pages (you won’t be able to create a squeeze page on Facebook)

No more creating toll pages (display one thing to visitors, something different to fans)

Your new header can’t include purchase info, contact info, coupons or references to “like” or “share”

Facebook alone controls the newsfeed of a business page, serving up posts they deem “most interesting.”

There’s a lot of whisperings floating around, but those are some of the things that stood out to me immediately. I’ve got another post I’d like to write about even more recent Facebook changes but for now, I’d like to hear how everyone else is feeling about Facebook forcing all fan pages to transition to the timeline design.

Get Face’d

Anyone who has their ear close to the Infusionsoft market knows that Tyler Garns left Infusionsoft a couple weeks back. You may have already received numerous emails talking about how he’s “up to something big.” Well, the truth is, he is!

He recently released two videos that are just absolutely jam-packed with valuable marketing strategies he used to help grow Infusionsoft as Director and VP of Marketing.

In his most recent video he pulled back the curtain on leadsource tracking with Infusionsoft and finally revealed his forumla for calculating the effectiveness of your social media marketing.

SEE TYLER’S VIDEO HERE

After watching his video this morning, I was excited to implement a couple of strategies and put together a spreadsheet to better track our marketing and advertising efforts. The first sheet has to do with tracking leadsources and identifying your most profitable sources for generating CUSTOMERS. The second sheet is for tracking the profitability of social media efforts. After building it, I realized, I might as well share it with anyone who wants it. So if you’d like to better feel the pulse of your marketing and advertising, just fill out the form below and I’ll send you the spreadsheet.

Here’s to better tracking, wiser advertising and higher profits!

P.S. I know the form above is ugly. I’d usually style it but hey, short on time and wanted to get this into your hands sooner than later.

P.P.S. What are you doing still reading this post? Head on over to Tyler’s video where he gives you his custom javascript for leadsource tracking!
